Thirty-one other rooms let Javon Foster slide, and the Chiefs were the ones holding the card at the 159th pick. Highway robbery. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On the needs board they went 3 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
