The Cowboys put a flag in the ground for Kedon Slovis, 72 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
The Guyton pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

In the Round 1 slot they get a No. 1 receiver. The biggest hole, addressed.
Tyler Guyton at pick No. 56 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Braelon Allen at the 90th pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A market-rate linebacker, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Tommy Eichenberg. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A tidy bit of business in No. 174, where Dwight McGlothern graded well above the range. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
