Cleveland Browns

The Browns did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

The Browns clearly saw something nobody else did in Logan Fano, taking him 49 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Getting Fuller where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

On the needs board they went 6 of 9, with edge rusher the one that mattered most. Their trades came out a wash either way.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.6 · Pick 6 · Jordyn Tyson · WR · rank 9
In slot 6 they get a weapon on the perimeter at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
R1.24 · Pick 24 · Arvell Reese · LB · rank 7
In pick No. 24 they get a downhill thumper at linebacker at a price that makes it sweeter.
R2.7 · Pick 39 · Blake Miller · OT · rank 57
Blake Miller at the 39th pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R3.6 · Pick 70 · D'Angelo Ponds · CB · rank 48
They barely believed it either: D'Angelo Ponds still on the board at No. 70. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R4.7 · Pick 107 · Sam Roush · TE · rank 89
Steal is underselling it; Sam Roush at the 107th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R5.1 · Pick 141 · Isaiah World · OT · rank 141
Isaiah World at the Round 5 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The roster fit checks out.
R5.9 · Pick 149 · Malik Benson · WR · rank 140
The board had Malik Benson higher than the Round 5 slot, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R5.15 · Pick 155 · Kage Casey · OT · rank 154
Kage Casey in pick No. 155 is fair value, right on his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R6.25 · Pick 206 · Logan Fano · DE-EDGE · rank 255
A big swing on Logan Fano at Round 6, Pick 25, well ahead of any board in the building. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R7.13 · Pick 229 · Noah Whittington · RB · rank 218
A quiet steal in pick 229: Noah Whittington for less than the market said. It fills a real need, too.
R7.32 · Pick 248 · Andre Fuller · CB · rank 225
Andre Fuller at slot 248 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
