Somebody took the Saints to the cleaners. The deals they made bled real value, and the whole class wears it. It grades a D, and the process earned it.
The Bowry pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Hunter pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.
Bottom line, they will be counting on several picks to beat their grades.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 8 they get a potential shutdown corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
By-the-book stuff, Chris Bell at the 42nd pick squarely in line with his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
