The Cowboys spent real capital to be 89 picks early on Kedon Slovis, and the board is going to hold them to it. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

Leaving tight end unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On the needs board they went 7 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
