Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Eagles, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. A D+ that will need time and luck to look better.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Watts pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 15 they get a ballhawk on the outside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Xavier Worthy at slot 50 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Edgerrin Cooper slid further than he should have, and the 57th overall pick is lovely value for the linebacker. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Bucky Irving in the Round 3 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
They took Walter Rouse at par in pick 161, which is nothing to complain about. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Tykee Smith in the 171st pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. The roster fit checks out.
A market-rate tight end, with the board and the slot shaking hands on AJ Barner. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Eric Watts this early at pick No. 210. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
