You build a draft on nights like this. Ollie Gordon II had no business being available in pick No. 222, and the Patriots did the only sane thing and turned in the card. The board rewarded a patient, disciplined weekend with a A.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The cost of the Hemingway reach is exactly the players who went right after him.
In the end it comes back to Jalon Walker, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
