They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Thor Griffith, 57 picks early at the Round 7 slot.
The Edwards steal is the beam this whole class leans on. The phones were where this weekend was really won. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
Add it up and few war rooms did better this weekend, Jalon Walker and all.
Pick-by-Pick
A tidy bit of business in the 33rd pick, where Jalon Walker graded well above the range. A minor itch, scratched.
Emeka Egbuka at No. 38 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Steal is underselling it; Aireontae Ersery at Round 3, Pick 3 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A need, and now a little less of one.
Tate Ratledge in the 69th overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
No drama and no debate, Mason Taylor went about where he belonged in slot 77. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Andrew Mukuba in the Round 3 slot. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A quiet steal in No. 105: Jaylin Noel for less than the market said. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Taking Billy Bowman Jr. in Round 5, Pick 6 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Circle this one: Donovan Edwards at pick 219 is a fall that decides a draft. The roster fit checks out.
