The trade table was a mismatch, and the Giants were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value.
If Sinnott pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Landing Tampa that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
The Josh Jacobs pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 13 they get a true top target. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Nothing to complain about; J.J. McCarthy went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Jordan Morgan in Round 2, Pick 12 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They did well to land Chris Braswell in the Round 2 slot, just ahead of his grade. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
T.J. Tampa at the 70th overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Ben Sinnott at slot 108 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Jarrian Jones at pick 140 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A real head-scratcher, Keith Randolph Jr. in the 185th pick is miles ahead of his ranking. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
