The war room fell hard for Trevin Wallace, and it showed at No. 131: 105 picks ahead of a board that had other ideas. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
So much rides on Xavier Worthy that the real verdict is a season or two away.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 32 they get a difference-maker at receiver, a steep price for the projection. The biggest hole, addressed.
By-the-book stuff, Kiran Amegadjie at the 64th pick squarely in line with his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Theo Johnson at the 95th overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They talked themselves into Trevin Wallace at pick 131, and the board did not agree. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Jordan Jefferson in the Round 5 slot is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Jase McClellan at Round 5, Pick 36 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A need, and now a little less of one.
Good price on Myles Cole in the Round 7 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
