They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Curtis Jacobs, 38 picks early at pick No. 158.
They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.

In the 32nd overall pick they get a No. 1 receiver, a steep price for the projection. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A straight-up fair deal on Kiran Amegadjie at Round 2, Pick 32, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
McKinnley Jackson at pick No. 95 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
No edge and no loss on Theo Johnson in No. 133; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Value said wait; Curtis Jacobs in the Round 5 slot says they were not listening. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Jase McClellan at slot 172 is a conviction pick that outran the value. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
