Everything else got attention, and edge rusher got none. That is a strange way for the Eagles to leave a draft.
The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
The back end got a real overhaul. They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

In No. 26 they get an island corner. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
By-the-book stuff, Edgerrin Cooper at pick No. 50 squarely in line with his ranking. A minor itch, scratched.
