The rest of the league will want that one back. Kamal Hadden tumbling to the Vikings in No. 190 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 11 they get a problem off the edge. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Chris Braswell in pick 42 is fair value, right on his grade. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A clean, defensible pick in Round 4, Pick 9 with a little surplus value in DeWayne Carter. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
No edge and no loss on Jamari Thrash in the 130th overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. It fills a real need, too.
They did well to land Jarrian Jones in No. 156, just ahead of his grade. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Malik Mustapha in pick No. 166 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Layden Robinson in the 179th pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
You do not let a cornerback like Kamal Hadden reach the Round 6 slot and blink. They did not. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
