You do not let an edge rusher like David Bailey reach slot 41 and blink. They did not. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
They barely believed it either: Mansoor Delane still on the board at pick 47. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Spencer Fano at the 49th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Circle this one: Kenyon Sadiq at No. 65 is a fall that decides a draft. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Taking Kayden McDonald in pick No. 67 is close to grand larceny; an interior defensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Mike Washington Jr. at the 72nd overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Somehow Sonny Styles was still sitting there in the Round 3 slot, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. It adds depth where they could use a little.
