Call it larceny. Jihaad Campbell sat on the board until Round 5, Pick 36, and the Cowboys did not need to be asked twice.
The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a double-digit-sack hope at a price that makes it sweeter. Need was not the driver here.
You do not let an interior defensive lineman like Kenneth Grant reach the 44th overall pick and blink. They did not. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Circle this one: TreVeyon Henderson at No. 76 is a fall that decides a draft. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They robbed the room for Jahdae Barron here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Jihaad Campbell at slot 174 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
