Nobody had Will Kacmarek this high, and it is not close. The Packers reached 64 spots to get him at No. 255.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Lance. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
Christen Miller at Round 2, Pick 29 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They will replay Jacob Rodriguez at pick 73 for years; that is how good the value is. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They barely believed it either: Domonique Orange still on the board at the Round 3 slot. The roster fit checks out.
They took Julian Neal at par in the 120th pick, which is nothing to complain about. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Bryce Lance in slot 127 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A slide stopped in pick No. 160, with Charles Demmings worth more than the price. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
A tidy little value on Taylen Green in the 201st pick, a step better than break-even. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
They talked themselves into Fernando Carmona at the Round 7 slot, and the board did not agree. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Will Kacmarek this early at Round 7, Pick 39. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
