The tape said wait; the Packers did not. Taulia Tagovailoa went at the 240th pick, a good 48 picks before the board was ready. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.
The Taylor-Demerson pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, wide receiver and other spots still on the board. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
The Taylor-Demerson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
A straight-up fair deal on Cooper DeJean at the 25th pick, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
