When a board-topper like Kenyon Sadiq slides to the Round 7 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Packers did not. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Mansoor Delane in pick No. 52, plain and simple. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
The board fumbled Kayden McDonald all the way to the Round 3 slot, and they scooped it up. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Somehow David Bailey was still sitting there in Round 4, Pick 20, and they pounced on premier edge rusher value. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Steal is underselling it; Jordyn Tyson at slot 160 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Jermod McCoy at pick 201 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They will replay Akheem Mesidor at the 236th pick for years; that is how good the value is. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Kenyon Sadiq in the 255th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
