The board owed the Vikings one, and it paid up: Brashard Smith, the No. 100 name on the board, sitting there at the Round 6 slot like a gift left on the doorstep. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
