Everything else got attention, and tight end got none. That is a strange way for the Bengals to leave a draft. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
The Freeling reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. That is an edge rusher worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 10 they get an anchor for the offensive line, even if it was a touch early.
R Mason Thomas slipping to No. 41 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. It adds depth where they could use a little.
A quiet steal in pick No. 72: Antonio Williams for less than the market said. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Tacario Davis in the Round 4 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
