You can draft well and still miss the point. The Commanders did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to wide receiver, which was the need that mattered most.
Getting Overton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They went 1 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

In pick No. 7 they get a green-dot type in the middle. More want than need.
They read the board right and LT Overton was the payoff at the Round 3 slot. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
