The one they had to fix is still broken. The Texans left wide receiver untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
The Everette reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Job largely done: running back settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 28 they get a plug-and-play piece up front, even if it was a touch early.
A market-rate interior defensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Caleb Banks. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A reach for Jadarian Price in the 59th pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They paid a round early for Daylen Everette in pick 69, more than the board wanted. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
No edge and no loss on Brian Parker II in No. 106; it is a wash and a sensible one. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
