Cleveland Browns

Best value of the weekend goes to the Browns for Pregnon: B.

by TBarin13 · 2026 NFL Draft · 14 picks · 8 steals · 3 reaches
Value B+
Need B
Trades C
Future A

This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Emmanuel Pregnon, the No. 39 name on the board, stolen at No. 95. The bottom line is a respectable B.

The Curry reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September. They went 9 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.12 · Pick 12 · Jordyn Tyson · WR · rank 9
Good price on Jordyn Tyson in No. 12, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R1.26 · Pick 26 · Caleb Lomu · OT · rank 28
In the Round 1 slot they get a long-term starter on the line. A real need, handled.
R2.7 · Pick 39 · Caleb Downs · S · rank 1
Steal is underselling it; Caleb Downs at slot 39 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R3.6 · Pick 70 · D'Angelo Ponds · CB · rank 47
A cornerback of that caliber at the 70th pick is the definition of value, full stop. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R3.31 · Pick 95 · Emmanuel Pregnon · OG · rank 39
The board fumbled Emmanuel Pregnon all the way to pick 95, and they scooped it up. A need, and now a little less of one.
R4.7 · Pick 107 · Eli Stowers · TE · rank 53
Eli Stowers in Round 4, Pick 7 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R4.12 · Pick 112 · Caden Curry · DE-EDGE · rank 131
They reached into another round for Caden Curry, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.6 · Pick 146 · Nicholas Singleton · RB · rank 108
Nicholas Singleton in pick No. 146 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R5.9 · Pick 149 · Malik Benson · WR · rank 145
Malik Benson in No. 149 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R5.25 · Pick 165 · Zane Durant · DT · rank 179
Zane Durant in the 165th pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
R6.1 · Pick 182 · Bryce Boettcher · LB · rank 172
Bryce Boettcher at Round 6, Pick 1 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A minor need, but a need all the same.
R6.25 · Pick 206 · Kage Casey · OT · rank 160
They robbed the room for Kage Casey here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. The roster fit checks out.
R7.2 · Pick 218 · Justin Jefferson · LB · rank 203
A quiet steal in slot 218: Justin Jefferson for less than the market said. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
R7.32 · Pick 248 · Luke Altmyer · QB · rank 265
They went early on Luke Altmyer in pick 248, and the value did not follow. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
