Somebody in pick No. 104 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Cardinals sat still while Jake Golday, the No. 59 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
The Pavia reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back.
Job largely done: quarterback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 3 they get a cornerstone up front at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Dillon Thieneman at the 34th pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
They barely believed it either: Anthony Hill Jr. still on the board at the 65th overall pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
The board fumbled Jake Golday all the way to Round 4, Pick 4, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
