The Chargers spent real capital to be 28 picks early on Keylan Rutledge, and the board is going to hold them to it. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
On value alone, Kilgore makes the weekend a net positive. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 22 they get a run-stuffing presence up front. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
A.J. Haulcy at pick No. 55 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A minor itch, scratched.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Keylan Rutledge in Round 3, Pick 22, miles early. The roster fit checks out.
A cornerback of that caliber at the Round 4 slot is the definition of value, full stop. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Josh Cameron at the 204th pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
