Every other box got a look, but running back did not. The Titans will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
The Neal pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The Roberts value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 4 they get a bendy edge with upside. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Nothing to complain about; Denzel Boston went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They let Josiah Trotter come to them and pounced at slot 66. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Julian Neal in Round 4, Pick 1 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Chris McClellan in No. 142 is fair value, right on his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Jakobe Thomas in the 144th overall pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Dae'Quan Wright at the 184th pick nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Anez Cooper slipping to the Round 6 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A quiet steal in pick 225: Chase Roberts for less than the market said. It fills a real need, too.
