The Bills treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending the Round 6 slot on Logan Fano a full 47 spots early. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 29 they get the heartbeat of the defense, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
They let Domonique Orange come to them and pounced at slot 91. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They robbed the room for Elijah Sarratt here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Circle this one: Genesis Smith at pick 126 is a fall that decides a draft. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Beau Stephens in pick No. 165 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Kage Casey in Round 5, Pick 28 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Ephesians Prysock in the 182nd pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Logan Fano in the 210th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It fills a real need, too.
