Thirty-one other rooms let Domonique Orange slide, and the Chiefs were the ones holding the card at Round 4, Pick 9. Highway robbery. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. The Green pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 9 they get a green-dot type in the middle at fair value. A real need, handled.
In No. 29 they get a security blanket over the middle, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Nothing to complain about; Dillon Thieneman went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Keionte Scott at slot 74 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. A minor itch, scratched.
They barely believed it either: Domonique Orange still on the board at the 109th overall pick. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Isaiah World at pick 148 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Reggie Virgil in Round 5, Pick 29 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
