There is real value in patience, and the Cowboys banked it when Emmanuel McNeil-Warren slid to slot 57. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 6 they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Emmanuel McNeil-Warren at the 57th pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Jake Golday at the 60th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Ted Hurst in slot 92 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Value with a capital V on Chandler Rivers in pick 112, a genuine coup. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
By-the-book stuff, Marlin Klein at the Round 5 slot squarely in line with his ranking. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A tidy little value on Ar'maj Reed-Adams in No. 177, a step better than break-even. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They took Seth McGowan at par in Round 5, Pick 40, which is nothing to complain about. A need, and now a little less of one.
