Nobody else had Caden Curry anywhere near the 74th overall pick. The Cowboys did, by 58 spots, and that gap is the whole story. A D that will need time and luck to look better.
Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They will answer for taking edge rusher early while offensive lineman and quarterback went begging. The offensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
If one pick saves this weekend, it is Orange. They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and offensive lineman is still a hole.
