Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Titans never addressed interior defensive lineman, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
Wallace III falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. Reaching for Murdock left real value on the table behind him.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick-by-Pick
They took Jeremiyah Love at par in Round 1, Pick 4, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Chris Brazzell II in No. 35 is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A straight-up fair deal on Derrick Moore at pick No. 66, value and slot in agreement. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Tacario Davis in pick 101 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
No drama and no debate, Jakobe Thomas went about where he belonged in the 142nd pick. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Oscar Delp in the 144th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They liked Red Murdock enough to skip the value, taking him in the Round 6 slot. The roster fit checks out.
A tidy little value on DJ Campbell in slot 194, a step better than break-even. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They read the board right and Harrison Wallace III was the payoff at the 225th pick. It fills a real need, too.
