The Eagles worked the phones like thieves and earned a B.

Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Kenny Logan Jr. at slot 226 is 70 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.22 · Pick 22 · Cooper DeJean · CB · rank 26
In the 22nd pick they get an island corner at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.18 · Pick 50 · Brian Thomas Jr. · WR · rank 27
You do not let a wide receiver like Brian Thomas Jr. reach No. 50 and blink. They did not. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R2.21 · Pick 53 · Quinyon Mitchell · CB · rank 19
Quinyon Mitchell in the Round 2 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R4.20 · Pick 120 · Dominick Puni · OT · rank 89
Dominick Puni in pick No. 120 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R5.25 · Pick 161 · Mason McCormick · OT · rank 146
Mason McCormick at the 161st overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R5.35 · Pick 171 · Johnny Wilson · WR · rank 125
Taking Johnny Wilson in pick 171 is close to grand larceny; a wide receiver that good had no business lasting this long. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R6.12 · Pick 187 · Kendall Milton · RB · rank 201
They jumped the gun on Kendall Milton, taking him earlier than his grade liked. It fills a real need, too.
R6.35 · Pick 210 · Luke McCaffrey · WR · rank 149
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 210th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R7.6 · Pick 226 · Kenny Logan Jr. · S · rank 296
This one needs a full-page explanation: Kenny Logan Jr. in the 226th pick, miles early. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
