The Cowboys treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending pick 168 on Vincent Anthony Jr. a full 73 spots early.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Golday at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. It is not that Curry is a bad player; it is that the Cowboys had louder needs to answer first.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 20th pick they get a three-down second-level presence, outstanding value to boot. Exactly the need they had to hit.
In the Round 1 slot they get an island corner at a price that makes it sweeter. The biggest hole, addressed.
