Somebody in slot 112 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Browns sat still while Elijah Sarratt, the No. 77 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They are betting Fa'amoe proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
