When a board-topper like Johnny Wilson slides to Round 5, Pick 34, you do not overthink it, and the Packers did not. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

They are betting Carter proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

Spending an early pick on safety with edge rusher, quarterback and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
