A solid, sensible weekend for the Packers: B-.

The Packers put a flag in the ground for Joe Milton III, 31 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. That is a safety worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
Job largely done: cornerback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 25 they get a ballhawk on the outside. The biggest hole, addressed.
Edgerrin Cooper in the 41st overall pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Ruke Orhorhoro at slot 58 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Renardo Green in the Round 3 slot. A minor need, but a need all the same.
No edge and no loss on Christian Mahogany in the 91st pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They paid up for Roger Rosengarten at pick 126 when waiting would have done the job. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
They left a pile of value on the table to take Joe Milton III this early at the 169th pick. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A conviction pick on Nathaniel Watson at pick No. 202 that the board grades a round light. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Garret Greenfield in No. 219 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The roster fit checks out.
Rasheen Ali at the Round 7 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
A slide stopped in pick 255, with Kalen DeLoach worth more than the price. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
