B-
Green Bay Packers
Good, not great, for the Packers: B-.

2024 NFL Draft
· 8 picks
· 1 steals
· 3 reaches
Every other box got a look, but edge rusher did not. The Packers will head to camp with the same hole they walked in with.
They are betting Wallace proves the room right and everyone else wrong. They banked enough surplus on Dial to cover a lot of smaller sins.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 16 they get protection for the quarterback. A clean fit for the roster.
T'Vondre Sweat at the Round 2 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Edgerrin Cooper in the 41st overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A minor itch, scratched.
They took Javion Cohen at par in pick No. 169, which is nothing to complain about. It fills a real need, too.
A reach on Evan Williams in slot 202; the board had better options right there. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They jumped the gun on Trevin Wallace, taking him earlier than his grade liked. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Kalen DeLoach at the 245th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Marcellas Dial slid further than he should have, and Round 7, Pick 35 is lovely value for the cornerback. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
