Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Packers never addressed edge rusher, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Leveston. Greenfield has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
By-the-book stuff, Cooper DeJean at slot 25 squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
No edge and no loss on T'Vondre Sweat in pick 41; it is a wash and a sensible one. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
No drama and no debate, Payton Wilson went about where he belonged in pick No. 58. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Renardo Green at the Round 3 slot is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Christian Mahogany in the 91st pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They liked Jarrian Jones enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 4, Pick 26. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Ty'Ron Hopper at No. 169 is a conviction pick that outran the value. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Garret Greenfield at the 202nd overall pick is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Evan Williams at slot 219 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Sam Hartman at pick 245 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
KT Leveston in pick No. 255 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
