Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Dolphins spent No. 198 on LaDarius Henderson, a name the board had a full 55 spots lower. The good and the questionable cancel out to a C+.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They went 1 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Bottom line, the swing picks will decide whether this ages well.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 21st pick they get a cornerstone up front, reach and all. A real need, handled.
Good price on T.J. Tampa in pick No. 55, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
They reached into another round for Layden Robinson, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
