When a board-topper like David Bailey slides to the Round 2 slot, you do not overthink it, and the 49ers did not. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick-by-Pick
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 38th pick is the definition of value, full stop. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Spencer Fano in the Round 2 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
