You could see the war room lean forward. Ted Hurst at Round 4, Pick 27 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. The bottom line is a respectable B.
For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Reaching for Harris left real value on the table behind him. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 27 they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Fair-plus on Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
The board fumbled Ted Hurst all the way to pick No. 127, and they scooped it up. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A reach for Kaytron Allen in slot 133; a little patience would have been rewarded. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A clean, defensible pick in the 138th pick with a little surplus value in Oscar Delp. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They paid a round early for Zxavian Harris in Round 4, Pick 39, more than the board wanted. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
