The Chiefs torched the value chart for Tip Reiman, taking him 53 spots sooner than anyone had him slotted. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with wide receiver the one that mattered most.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 32nd pick they get a load in the middle, even if it was a touch early. A real need, handled.
No edge and no loss on Kiran Amegadjie in slot 64; it is a wash and a sensible one. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
A premium they did not need to pay, Isaac Guerendo a notch or two before his time. A need, and now a little less of one.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Mason McCormick in pick No. 133, miles early. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A big swing on Jha'Quan Jackson at No. 158, well ahead of any board in the building. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Tip Reiman well ahead of where he belonged. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
