Start where it matters. The Giants took Drake Maye to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Reaching for Haynes left real value on the table behind him.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 6th pick they get their quarterback of the future. A clean fit for the roster.
No drama and no debate, Darius Robinson went about where he belonged in slot 39. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Christian Haynes at pick 47 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
They paid a round early for Brandon Dorlus in the 70th overall pick, more than the board wanted. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
They paid sticker price for Renardo Green in Round 4, Pick 8, and that is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Jamari Thrash in pick No. 140 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Kendall Milton in the Round 6 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
