The one they had to fix is still broken. The Vikings left quarterback untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
On value alone, Golday makes the weekend a net positive. Every board in the league had Heidenreich lower, and that gap is the story.
The trade work was a quiet net positive.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 26 they get a moveable chess piece at tight end, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
No drama and no debate, Lee Hunter went about where he belonged in slot 49. A need, and now a little less of one.
Circle this one: Jake Golday at the 82nd overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Jonah Coleman at the 91st pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The roster fit checks out.
Brian Parker II in the Round 4 slot is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They went early on Bryce Boettcher in Round 5, Pick 23, and the value did not follow. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Good price on Ephesians Prysock in the Round 6 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
A straight-up fair deal on Kaden Wetjen at No. 234, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They liked Eli Heidenreich enough to skip the value, taking him in pick No. 235. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
A reach for Josh Cuevas in pick 244; a little patience would have been rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
