The Cowboys treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending Round 5, Pick 14 on Curtis Jacobs a full 41 spots early.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver.
The Cowboys paired the rookies with proven help, Puka Nacua leading the way. Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

Khyree Jackson at Round 3, Pick 24 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Edefuan Ulofoshio well ahead of where he belonged. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Curtis Jacobs in slot 150, miles early. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They paid up for Jaylan Ford at the 174th pick when waiting would have done the job. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
By-the-book stuff, Fentrell Cypress II at pick No. 212 squarely in line with his ranking. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Sheridan Jones in pick 245 lands just on the right side of the ledger. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
