New York Giants

More right than wrong for the Giants, and a B+ to prove it.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Giants did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to safety, which was the need that mattered most.

However the rest shakes out, Pregnon at that price is a win they earned. The dealing tilted against them, just enough to notice.

The David Bakhtiari deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the safety spot they never got to.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.22 · Pick 22 · Kenyon Sadiq · TE · rank 17
In the 22nd overall pick they get a red-zone target to build around. A real need, handled.
R2.9 · Pick 41 · Chris Brazzell II · WR · rank 29
Chris Brazzell II is a better player than the 41st pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R2.23 · Pick 55 · Emmanuel Pregnon · OG · rank 38
Emmanuel Pregnon slipping to No. 55 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R5.5 · Pick 145 · Kaleb Proctor · DL · rank 135
Kaleb Proctor at pick No. 145 is money in the bank, a interior defensive lineman taken below his worth. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R6.5 · Pick 186 · Aamil Wagner · OT · rank 178
They let Aamil Wagner come to them and pounced at slot 186. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
