The value of the weekend has a name and a slot: Jake Golday, the 92nd pick, roughly 33 picks past where he belonged.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 12th pick they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker. Exactly the need they had to hit.
In Round 1, Pick 20 they get the heartbeat of the defense at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Taking Jake Golday in pick 92 is close to grand larceny; an edge rusher that good had no business lasting this long. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Steal is underselling it; Devin Moore at the 112th overall pick is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A slide stopped in slot 152, with Dametrious Crownover worth more than the price. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
