Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Chiefs came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.
The offensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Scott pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at offensive lineman, quarterback and other spots. Hunter falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the offensive lineman spot they never got to.

In slot 9 they get a potential shutdown corner. More want than need.
In No. 29 they get a green-dot type in the middle at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
No drama and no debate, Zion Young went about where he belonged in the Round 2 slot. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
