The Chiefs spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Germie Bernard, the No. 58 name on the board, in the Round 3 slot.
The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 9 they get a downhill hitter at safety at a price that makes it sweeter.
In the 29th pick they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
They paid sticker price for Zion Young in No. 40, and that is fine. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Keionte Scott at pick No. 74 is the proof. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Steal is underselling it; Germie Bernard at Round 3, Pick 23 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They will replay Domonique Orange at the 103rd overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
