A mixed bag for the Commanders, and a C+ to match.

Somebody in Round 6, Pick 29 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Commanders sat still while Ja'Quinden Jackson, the No. 166 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.
They will need Ezeiruaku to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They punted on tight end, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Value over need was the throughline, for better and worse.
If Donovan Ezeiruaku and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 29 they get juice off the edge, though the board says they badly overpaid.
Isaiah Bond at pick 61 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A real head-scratcher, Hollin Pierce in No. 79 is miles ahead of his ranking. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
The board had Cody Simon higher than the 148th pick, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Ja'Quinden Jackson in the 207th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
The board fumbled Kyle Monangai all the way to Round 7, Pick 20, and they scooped it up. The roster fit checks out.
Value said wait; Nohl Williams in slot 250 says they were not listening. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
